Teachers

This is us.
We come from different cities and have been living in Rotterdam for a long time. Each of us has followed a different education and we have a strong passion for many aspects of culture, more than just the Italian language!

  • Federica Meneguzzo

I’m Federica Meneguzzo, born in Vicenza in 1972. After graduating in Architecture at the University of Venice, I moved to Rotterdam in 2000 where I worked many years as a designer and where I received my Architecture Project-leader diploma. Beside the work as a freelance architect and beside the organization of culinary events, from 2013 I’m also working as a teacher of Italian language and culture in Den Haag, at the association Dante Alighieri. Since the spring of 2014 I’m the director, study planner and teacher at Centro di Lingua Italiana.

  • Arianna Bernava

I‘m Arianna Bernava and I always had a strong passion for art. I‘m graduated at the art school in Lucca and later I got a master degree in History of Contemporary Art at the University of Florence. Since 2005 I started working as a teacher of art education in prestigious museums in Tuscany next to carrying out workshops for these museums and several schools. In 2012 I moved to Rotterdam. Nowadays I‘m collaborating as a freelancer with the Italian Association in Delft and as a guide with the Van Gogh Museum, the Stedelijkmuseum and the Rijksmuseum.

  • Maria Fernanda

I’m Maria Fernanda (also known as Afer), born in 1980 in Lima, Perù, from an Italian family. I soon moved to Milan, Italy, where after the school education I continued my academic career in teaching and pedagogy. I hold a Master Degree in Architecture. This is also why my classes are filled with italian architectural and cultural references. I moved to The Netherlands in 2005 where I started teaching in several other important Italian schools in Rotterdam. From 2010 I was teacher at the Centro di Lingua Italiana and till 2014 I was the director.
